Much has changed since Milo & Dexter began work more than half a decade ago – but what drives our organization has not. It can be summed up in a few simple words: make things with the people in mind, those that will use them and those that will make them. We have an unrelenting commitment to exceptional quality materials, local production, and the very best craftsmanship. You will find these values woven into the fabric of our organization, shaping every decision we make.
Quality is at the heart of everything we do. It defines the durability of our clothing, the timelessness of our designs—unaffected by fleeting trends—and our dedication to using natural materials and bespoke fabrics. More than just our products, quality shapes our values: we prioritize the well-being of our employees, foster strong partnerships with our suppliers, and ensure that every step of our production process is ethical and sustainable. We personally know the spinners, knitters, weavers, dyers, and makers who bring our garments to life, ensuring responsible craftsmanship at every stage.
Four key pillars underpin our approach:
- Source natural, renewable raw materials from ethical and sustainable farms.
- Maintain complete transparency across our entire supply chain by keeping it in Canada.
- Uphold ethical labor practices and environmental responsibility.
- Create garments that are timeless and built to last.

Our Approach
Without precise selection of materials, the depth of Canadian craftsmanship might be compromised. While Canada boasts a rich reservoir of Shetland wool, it is the British who have mastered the refinement of finer wools, and the Australians who claim the most extensive population of Merino sheep. The expertise of Italian leather dyeing techniques works hand in hand with the understanding that this leather is a sustainable byproduct: lambskin from significant lamb-consuming areas in the Middle East, cowhides from the beef-loving nations of South America, and deerskins from Canada’s principaldeer-eating regions. The cotton yarns we utilize originate from the southern states of the United States of America, undergoing weaving and dyeing processes throughout North America.

1. Source natural, renewable raw materials from ethical and sustainable farms.
Maintaining complete transparency across our supply chain means keeping every stage of production within Canada while responsibly sourcing select raw materials from trusted partners abroad. From weaving and dyeing to final garment construction, each step is carefully overseen to uphold the highest standards of quality and ethics. By collaborating with Canadian mills, tanneries, and artisans—while also working with ethical suppliers worldwide for materials like wool, cotton, and leather—we ensure that every component is traceable, every process is accountable, and every product reflects the integrity of true Canadian craftsmanship.

2. Maintain complete transparency across our entire supply chain by keeping it in Canada.
Upholding ethical labor practices and environmental responsibility is at the core of our production philosophy. We are committed to fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for the artisans who bring our designs to life. By prioritizing Canadian manufacturing and partnering only with ethical suppliers abroad, we ensure that every worker is treated with dignity and fairness. At the same time, we minimize our environmental impact by using sustainable materials, reducing waste, and implementing responsible production methods that honor both people and the planet.

3. Uphold ethical labor practices and environmental responsibility.
We believe in creating garments that transcend trends and stand the test of time. Every piece is designed with a focus on durability, craftsmanship, and classic aesthetics, ensuring it remains a staple for years to come. By using high-quality materials and meticulous construction techniques, we craft clothing that not only looks good but also wears well over time. Our commitment to longevity means fewer replacements, less waste, and a more sustainable approach to fashion—because true style is never disposable.
